RG RX-78 GP01/Fb build retrospective

This is my 19th build for 2020 and a quick detox build. This kit has been sitting in my closet for around 5 years, back when I went out and pretty much bought all of the RGs available at the time.

I much prefer the design of the normal GP01, which I built for the 2017 Hobbylink Japan’s Playing with Plamo competition. It was fun to revisit this kit and I still find it’s incredible that there’s a functioning core fighter system in 1/144 scale. As an older RG it does use that premolded inner frame which is not only prone to breaking but also tends to sag over time.

The stickers for this kit are ridiculously small and I botched/lost some of them. That being said, I think it’s time to put this RG to pasture and just wait for an MG update down the line.
